Kids Helping Kids exists to inspire and equip children to help marginalized children holistically in unreached areas of Asia. Through child sponsorship, missions education, prayer, and relational connection, KHK helps kids understand God’s heart for the poor, the unreached, and the children who need hope most.
How Kids Helping Kids Began
The vision for Kids Helping Kids began with a young girl named Mariannette who lived in the southernmost region of the Philippines.
In a letter sent to an organization in Manila, Mariannette shared a few simple wishes. She hoped for a pair of shoes, a bicycle so she could get to school, jobs for her parents, and just $2 to complete a school project. They were modest requests, yet they reflected the difficult reality she faced every day.
As poverty continued to overwhelm her family and future, Mariannette lost hope. Her story was later shared in a Philippine newspaper and eventually led our team to meet her family personally. What we learned deeply impacted us and forever changed the direction of our lives.
We realized there were countless children facing similar circumstances—children with dreams, potential, and God-given purpose who simply needed someone to believe in them and help them overcome the obstacles standing in their way.
Rather than allowing Mariannette’s story to end in tragedy, we chose to let it become the beginning of something greater.
Kids Helping Kids was founded with a simple mission: to find and help as many “Mariannettes” as possible.
Today, Kids Helping Kids serves marginalized children throughout the Philippines and other parts of the world through sponsorship, education, mentoring, practical support, and life-changing opportunities. By connecting children who want to help with children who need hope, we are empowering the next generation to make a lasting difference—one child, one family, and one community at a time.

What Is Kids Helping Kids?
KHK is a child sponsorship education program helping over 750 children annually in more than 27 locations from 11+ unreached tribes. The program connects groups of kids with children in need, helping them learn about missions while actively supporting children through practical care, prayer, and encouragement.
This is more than a sponsorship program. It is a discipleship opportunity that teaches children to see the world through the love of Jesus and respond with compassion, generosity, and faith.
Helping the Least and the Last
Jesus called His people to care for the poorest of the poor and those needing help most. KHK prioritizes children in the Southern Philippines who are living well below the poverty line and children among unreached tribes who have limited access to resources, opportunity, and the gospel.
KHK also focuses on unreached tribes in the Philippines, including Kalagan Tausug, Sama Badjao, Iranun, Maranao, Maguindanao, Kalibugan, Yakan, and others. These children are not forgotten by God, and through KHK, kids are invited to play a meaningful role in serving them.

What Sponsored Children Receive

Sponsored children may receive school uniforms, shoes, backpacks, and help with school projects.

Support may include rice, transportation allowance, hygiene packs, and other practical resources.
Health and Mentoring
Children may receive dental or medical checkups along with weekly mentoring and care from trusted leaders.

What Your Kids Will Receive
KHK also creates a powerful learning experience for the kids who participate. Children are not only giving; they are growing.
Participating kids receive missions lessons, communication and videos from sponsored children, names and needs to pray for, information about unreached tribes and cultures, potential live communication through Zoom, and opportunities to learn about the village, school, and setting of the children they support.
This helps kids move from awareness to action as they learn to pray, give, connect, and participate in God’s mission to the world.

Each child sponsorship is $10 per month or $120 per year. Each group chooses how many children they can sponsor.
For example, sponsoring 5 children is a commitment to raise $600 for the year.
